OffGridSMS by Hyperfast Apps

OffGridSMS is a private text-to-search service for Sargent Kennedy and his family, operated by Hyperfast Apps. It is built for places without cell data, where satellite texting (iPhone Messages via Satellite, Starlink Direct-to-Cell, Garmin inReach) still works.

How it works

A pre-approved phone texts a question to (530) 290-6034, for example "Echo Summit weather tomorrow". OffGridSMS replies with one short plain-text answer (300 characters or fewer). Messages from phones that are not on the approved list get no reply. It is not open to the public.

Message frequency varies: you get one reply per question you send. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help.

Not an emergency service

OffGridSMS is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call or text 911, or use your device's Emergency SOS feature. Answers are automated and may be incomplete, delayed or out of date.
