OffGridSMS Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Hyperfast Apps (Sargent Kennedy), the operator of OffGridSMS, handles information for the OffGridSMS text-message service at (530) 290-6034.

Information we collect

• Your mobile phone number, which you ask us to add to the approved list.
• The text of messages you send to OffGridSMS and the replies we send back.
• Basic delivery records (time, delivery status) kept by our messaging provider.

How we use it

• To check that a message comes from an approved phone and to reply to it.
• To answer your question: the text of your query (not your phone number) is sent to our search provider, Exa, only to generate the answer.
• To troubleshoot and keep the service working.

Who processes it

• Twilio carries the text messages between your carrier and OffGridSMS.
• Exa receives query text only to produce a search answer.
• Vercel hosts the service that processes messages.

These providers process data only to deliver the service.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention

We keep message records only as long as needed to run and troubleshoot the service. Our providers' logs follow their own retention schedules. You can ask us to delete your number and message records at any time.

Your choices

Reply STOP to (530) 290-6034 at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help. To be removed from the approved list or to request deletion, email us.

Children

OffGridSMS is a private family service. A child's phone is only added at a parent's request.
