OffGridSMS Opt-In & Consent

This page explains how people come to receive messages from OffGridSMS ((530) 290-6034).

Who can use it

OffGridSMS is a private service. Only Sargent Kennedy and family members he invites can use it. It is not advertised and there is no public sign-up.

How consent is collected

1. A family member personally asks Sargent Kennedy, in person or by direct message, to be added.
2. At that time they are told what the service does, that message frequency varies by their requests, that message and data rates may apply, and that they can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
3. With their agreement, Sargent adds their mobile number to the service's approved list.
4. The person then starts each conversation by texting a question to (530) 290-6034. Texting the number is always user-initiated.

What we send

OffGridSMS only replies to messages an approved person sends, with one answer per question. It never sends marketing or unsolicited messages. Messages from numbers that are not on the approved list get no reply.

Opting out and help

Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You will get one confirmation and no further messages. Reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP for help. You can also email sarge@hyperfastapps.com to be removed from the approved list.
